UX & A/B Testing

Design and UX are two completely different animals. While some designers may develop UX skills, only a small percentage work on user experience daily. Sitejet UX personnel have direct experience leading UX teams with that experience spanning as much as 25 years.

We are all just a sample of one. A/B Testing ensures that we are making data driven UX decisions instead of catering to preferences and unproven opinions.

Data Driven UX

Many times we have received a set of mock ups for a new design and when we ask the question where is the data supporting these UX changes? It is crickets. Designers cross over the line to UX frequently without understanding that each element in the design can increase bounce rates and lower conversion .

Sitejet personnel review all the data sources (Google Analytics, MS Clarity, HotJar, and Lucky Orange) available to determine what elements on the page are driving engagement and which elements on the page are driving away the customer. We let the data direct us to where improvements can be made.

A/B Testing Methodology

Testing changes to the user experience prevent opinions from driving a negative user experience. Opinions are great, but they should always be tested and we should always let the data have the final say.

Sitejet can provide recommendations on tests based on the data we see in the analytics tools. Where needed, Sitejet will execute the process end-to-end. We deliver a candidate for testing, the candidate is approved to move forward. The candidate change is then fully setup by Sitejet and at the end of the test we deliver the results. Based on the results we can implement the winner.
